An endless abyss of "stuff"

This past Saturday, I went to IKEA outside of Copenhagen with a group of my girlfriends. Of course, we went for a meal of Swedish meatballs and spinach pancakes (we're definitely going back when they have the lunch buffet on the first Sunday of every month). We also all had a short list of things we needed to buy, but of course we ended up leaving the store with 3 shopping carts full of kitchen/bathroom supplies and other relatively pointless objects that we can't even bring home with us at the end of our exchange. I came out with the least amount of purchased items, only 8! I'm pretty proud of myself for not being completely sucked in to consumerism while shopping at this huge store that has absolutely everything.
